captivates all who behold her. So Miss Dani California creates a
world in which to escape for a few brief moments - whether you want
to enjoy the sweetest cheesecake temptation, watch in wonder as
exquisite apparitions dance for your delight, or simply be swept away
by one of her varied visions.
A
fully trained Triple-Threat performer, she graduated with an NVQ
Level 6 Distinction in Professional Musical Theatre from Liverpool
Theatre School, and has achieved Distinctions in the highest level
LAMDA Acting exams. She was also nominated for an IDTA Scholarship
Award after gaining an Honours Award in Ballet.
A
highly talented all-round artiste, her performance skills range from
Singing: Soprano (Bottom E - Top D, Belt to Dflat) Performing Accents
(Including American Standard,
R.P. and Irish) and covers a variety of dance styles from Ballet to
Hip Hop, and including Tap, Jazz and Pointe Work.
Since
graduating, Miss Dani California has been seen in various plays and
short films, and has also worked as a lead and backing vocalist with
a 12-piece soul band, performing to crowds of up to 5,000. Her
classic look has lent itself to modelling for companies including
Red's Ribbons, Mico Couture Latex and Violet Wilde Corsets, and she
is an in-demand and agency represented model, specialising in (but
not limited to!) Pin-Up, Retro and Vintage styles.
Inevitably,
due to her love of glitter and glamour, Miss Dani California
was seduced by the Burlesque Stage and has worked across the UK and
Europe, performing with companies such as The Ministry of Burlesque
(UK), Circus Burlesque (Edinburgh Fringe 2010), and Voodoo Deluxe
(Milan)
Showcasing
the gamut of the Burlesque spectrum, she recreates both the Golden
Era of American Bump 'N Grind, and modern 'Neo-Burlesque' - paying
tribute to doyennes of the art form such as Loie Fuller and Sally
Rand, as well as taking inspiration from Greek Myths, Ballet,
Fairy-Tales, Circus, Popular Culture and anything she finds beautiful
and fascinating: Dani has an eclectic mix of routines, each one
guaranteed to amaze and delight. She is also a classically trained
singer and can belt out a show-stopping theatre number, or provide a
touch of Jazz Club chic to any event.
